20 years of Joey Negro

One of my main influences as a dj is the legend himself Joey Negro. He has been djing and producing fantastic tracks for 20 years now. To celebrate this unique achievement there is a special album exclusively mixed by 2 legends themselves Dj Grant Nelson and Dj Spinna. This is a must have in your cd or record collection. It's hard to believe that it has been 20 years since the first Joey Negro record "Do It, Believe It" was released on New York's trend setting house label Nu Groove. Unsure of an act name for the track Dave made up a spoof alter ego from two records he had next to his desk at work - Pal Joey and J Walter Negro - it wasn't something he anticipated would be used for more than that one track let alone the next 20 years... This new '20 Years of Joey Negro' album celebrates the best of Joey's productions over his career with Grant Nelson drafted in to mix the tracks for the Joey Negro CD and DJ Spinna for the Sunburst Band CD. This is a Limited Edition triple CD digi pack with the third CD featuring exclusive and unreleased unmixed tracks.

Grant Nelson wasn't content to simply mix his selection for the album, as he requested the original parts for some of the tracks and spent a few weeks in the studio crafting his own interpretations on some of the classic Joey Negro tracks. His reworkings include a full remix of the classic Raven Maize 'Forever Together', which will rock pretty much any dancefloor anywhere. He also produced new edits of Yolanda Wyns 'I Know You, I Live You', a full vocal version of Nicola Fasano's mix of 'Must Be The Music' and an extended take on the Joey Negro remix of Masters At Work 'Backfired'.
